Kevin Simpson Im working on lesson 4 Sanity. I was reminded about a useful tool called the "feelings inventory". Discribe how youre feeling using any or all of the following feelings. Joy, Pain, Fear, Loneliness, Anger, Guilt and Shame. I think today I struggle with feeling ashamed of how I still struggle with the same old things. A...shamed that I havent conquered the habits of my past.

P David Hancock Hi Everybody!! I am the worship leader at the new Celebrate Recovery (9 months old) at Briarlake Baptist in Atlanta (Decatur) GA. Pray for us that truth would pervade our hearts and ministry as a T.E.A.M. at CR. We have had growing pains and the enemy hates what we are doing. He loves to attack us just to see what we'll do, I think!

Gene Knowles A couple of weeks ago, we were in Lesson 14, and we were having all kinds of technology difficulties. Not only did we not have any music, but we couldn't get any of our lesson slides to display either. So, we pulled out the church's hymnals, asked folks for some of their favorite songs, and sang about four of them Ac...appella before beginning our lesson. Then, I led the study from the leader's guide, without any overheads for the participants. Oh well...The Lord greatly blessed and it was a wonderful night!

way to persevere. It's been my experience with the CR Group that even in my mastakes on the platform Gods grace abounds ever abundantly. The group tends to have more grace and the spirit tends to move all the more when there are mistakes made. It lets the group know that even we as leaders are human too. God Bless

Tom Caulfield Hi all, would anyone care to share their process for allowing new members on the worship team? Do you have formal guidelines and requirements? We don't have any yet, so I would value any input. Blessings.

First, I would suggest having a sobriety/clean time requirement (a year is best, but whatever you think. Second, it is a good idea to have them attend practices for a minimum of a month so you can see their level of commitment and reliability. Also, have they joined and attended one of the recovery groups or are they a member of a local church ... See Moreand involved in that organization. The last issue is whether they are able to sing or play an instrument adequately and can they work as a team member. Some churches have an audition for the new worship team members and this works well. Best of luck to you. God Bless!

Our policy is this: If someone wants to serve in the CR band or on the vocal team, they have to be participating in the program and attending the group meetings on Friday... or they have to be a member of our church. Everyone has to go through an audition process for musicality purposes and an interview process.
