Olympia Food Co-Op Chestnuts and winter are made for one another! What's more satisfying than hot pan roasted chestnuts on a cold evening? Maybe a hearty chestnut stew; a fluffy chestnut torte, or a tantalizing chestnut crescent cookie. Chestnuts are an amazingly versatile and nutritious food that are naturally high in fiber, low in c...alories and fat and gluten free. Class limited to 25. Taught by Jenn Kliese.

Olympia Food Co-Op Are you as concerned about what you put on your body as what you put in it? Homemade bodycare is delicious and easy to do, doesn't have to be made with chemicals, and SAVES YOU MONEY. This class will explore alternatives to traditional shampoos, shave creams and toothpaste. We will also make bath soaks. Bring a few... small containers if you have them. Class limited to 18. Taught by Co-op staff member Jenn Kliese.

Olympia Food Co-Op Shed some light on the darkest time of the year with handmade candles. Using recycled wax, participants will learn the art of dip, container/molded, and chunk candles. All materials supplied, but bring a small container that you would like to make into a candle. Class limit-18. Taught by Co-op volunteer Scott Bishop.
