The membership of First Alternative Co-op in Corvallis, OR. voted this summer to charge 5 cents per large paper bag. As a result the number of bag requests has decreased. People are bringing in their own bags and using cardboard boxes and other bag alternatives, and the proceeds of the bag charge go to environmental causes.

Join us for the annual membership meeting. We're celebrating paying off the Eastside store! Come hear the story of how we found the location during the last Co-op expansion.

Pizza & salad will be served beginning at 6pm (vegen & gluten free options available). Beverages will be available for purchase.

We will give out... tree and shrub seedlings to do our part in replanting after the loss of the Eastside trees.

Our business meeting will begin at 6:30pm with updates about Co-op activities over the past year including reports from the Expansion and Finance Committees. This will also be an opportunity to meet the candidates in the current Board of Directors election and cast your ballot, if you have not already. All members will have a chance to share their questions and comments.
