Puget Sound Partnership Bill Would Create Office of Puget Sound (Kitsap Sun) U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell and U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, D-Belfair, have introduced twin bills to create a new Office of Puget Sound within the Environmental Protection Agency.

Puget Sound Partnership Seabird deaths due to algae bloom (Seattle Times) An overwhelming number of seabirds are dying due to toxic foam from an algae bloom off the Washington coast. The death toll — which could exceed 10,000 — is from a mysterious algae bloom still off the coast that has scientists and researchers worried and mystified.

Case in point: While the Gov and politicians talk about cleaning up our beloved Puget Sound, they are funding a project that could wind up building a bridge through the middle of Burley Lagoon (a former Super Fund site), a super sensitive saltwater estuary.
