Make New Contacts at Let’s Do Lunch
Join the Chamber of Commerce for an exciting NEW lunch program titled “Let’s Do Lunch” on Wednesday, November 18 at the Country Club of Orange Park from 11:30 to 1 p.m. The cost is $12 per person. Try out the newest way to make business contacts. This month’s feature will be “Changes... in the Newspaper Industry” Our guest speaker and facilitator is Lucy Talley, Publisher of the Florida Times Union and Jacksonville.com. Prior to being promoted in April, she was the newspaper’s associate publisher. She joined Morris Publishing Group in 2006 as vice president of newspapers and assumed responsibility for Skirt! magazine and skirt.com in December of 2007. This will be an exciting finish to an all-star race. Find out who the top finishers are in the victory lane. The fun begins with a reception starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by the awards and installation program. The event will feature a race cars, themed menu, music, games and more.
Highlights include recognition ...of volunteers, Business Person of the Year award and Business Education Partner of the Year. The night would not be complete if we did not install our new board members and recognize outgoing board members.
The event also features a Silent Auction to benefit the Chamber Foundation, a 501(c) (3) organization. All of the proceeds benefit education. Quality items are needed to make this another huge success. We raised $1,300 at last year’s inaugural auction.
