Oregon Natural Desert Association This Saturday be part of a 350 event! On October 24th 10:30-12pm walk or ride your bike to the downtown Bend Centennial Parking Plaza rooftop to join a rally to encourage Central Oregon’s elected leaders to take meaningful action on climate change. Event sponsored by the Environmental Center. Liz Nysson will be there representing ONDA.

Join ONDA, Friends of the Badlands, East Cascade Bird Conservancy, Photographer Bruce Jackson, and fellow desert lovers in a day of education and appreciation of our desert wildlands! The day provides a unique opportunity for exploration of our backyard deserts, followed by drinks, eats, and music at The Environmental... Center. A host of activities awaits you – take your pick!
Group activities include:
ONDA geocache hunt/geology hike: 9:00 – 1:00PM : Badlands Wilderness
Friends of the Badlands (Fobbits) restoration work: 8:15AM – 2:00PM : Badlands Wilderness
Dry River Canyon birding walk: 8:30 – 1:00 PM
Photography workshop w/ Bruce Jackson: 9:00 – 2:00 PM
Alder Springs Hike: 8:00 – 1:00 PM
Steelhead Falls Hike : 9:00 – 2:00 PM
Post Party at The Environmental Center 16 NW Kansas Ave, Bend OR, with food, beer and live music by Third Eye Whiskey, 3-6:00PM - everyone welcome!
Cost: FREE! (donations appreciated)
