This bill is an insult to those of us who supported Obama and the promises made on the campaign trail.

Very discouraged.

First do no harm. The Senate bill does not pass that test. Take a stand Mr President and do what you promised. Stand up for WE THE PEOPLE not THEY THE CORPORATIONS. I gave and worked and voted for you. My time, money, and vote are all precious to me. I hope they weren't given in vain. You still have time to become the President we thought you could be. So far you've fallen way short.

If we had let the perfect be the enemy of the good we wouldn't have medicare, SCHIP, social secruity, unemployment, etc.. Because of this reform, my sister, who has a very serious pre-existing condition that prohibits her getting insurance, will be able to get affordable health insurance that covers her monthly medical bills. My parents, who are small business owners, will be able to insure their employees without using 40% of their overhead (and almost going out of business) to do it, and my great aunt, who was dropped from her health insurance in the middle of her fight with breast cancer, will be able to obtain insurance. You have got to get one foot in the door to go up the stairs, and with all of my respect to Secretary Clinton, they weren't able to pass a bill (very similar to this) through the house and senate, and it took us fifteen YEARS to get the topic back on the table. I hope you will move forward thinking about this legislation as the PROCESS it is, not as an "outcome."

Thank you Erik B. I have hope when I see people actually trying to understand the problem and not wrestle on separate sides of the isle. If we keep going the way we are, we will drop our country in a hole so deep we will be back on the edge of depression. Maybe that's what is meant by "his failure is our success." Sick, sick people.

We will see a HC Bill. Just one without as much "hand out Health Care". Which is a good thing.
