The U.S. House of Representatives just voted (403-12) to extend and expand the homebuyer tax credit. The measure is now on its way to President Obama for his signature!
You can view (and print) a one-page PDF document that outlines the final provisions at the link below.
The modifications in the column lab...eled “December 1 – April 30, 2010” become effective when President Obama signs the bill (he is expected to sign by tomorrow). All changes made to the current credit become effective on that date, as well.

Tell Congress: Extend the Homebuyer Tax Credit
Since its inception, the $8,000 first-time homebuyer tax credit has brought 1.2 million new buyers into the market, according to the National Association of Realtors®. The credit expires December 1, 2009. Contact your Congressperson and U.S. Senators today and ask them to keep the market recovery going by extending the tax credit through 2010.
