Otter Rafting Adventures The projected high for the day is 15 degrees - if there was enough water in the river it would be a treat to get out on the water again. There has been several snowfalls in the mountains already - they are nice and white. That's next years rafting building up.

Otter Rafting Adventures What a gorgeous day today - and there is hardly any water left in the river - would have been a beautiful float down the river. Quiet, crystal clear waters and great fall colors. It isn't always about whitewater. But still - bring it on!!!!

We've watched this ledge go through an entire paddling season. It has been an unusual year. With no high runoff in June the water level has held right to the end of our rafting season. We really need rain. There is no snow on the mountain peaks that I can see out my living room window, and it has been like this for sev...eral weeks. I don't think the river will rise again this season unless this drought breaks. Pray for lot's of snow in the mountains accumulating for next year.

Otter Rafting Adventures This incredible weather really calls me out for a float down the river. The river is very low now and we have stopped rafting. Although, if it starts raining in the mountains things could change. Until then let's all enjoy this fabulous late summer weather - who's in favor of it lasting another month??

Otter Rafting Adventures It is a surprise that the water level is still up. It usually slows with the first snow in the mountains. But not this year, it is so warm that that snow is melting.
