There's no happiness in the valley when Donnie is around. Wordpress allows me to schedule posts, which is nice. Alas, I’m in Columbus, Ohio at the moment with friends and we’ll be watching the game at Halftime Tavern, likely. Ergo, I won’t be around for the live blog. Tha...

... I’m taking some personal days and using them on goofing off for Thursday-Saturday, drinking with friends at Halftime Tavern in Columbus, Ohio, wandering around campus on Friday, drinking with friends at Halftime Tavern again, watching the Buckeyes, and largely being unproductive. ...

... I’m still working overtime to get my ducks in a row so I can spend most of my weekend doing much of nothing in Columbus, Ohio. The following will seem incoherent and disjointed, but these weekly features usually are. ...

Ray Griffin will go ahead and take that for you, John Andress This is going to be an odd week for me, and posting will be light because of it. I’ll be in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday and, if my friends are not lying to me, I should be hanging out in a Columbus bar drinking with Pete Johnson. ...

http://www.ourhonordefend.com A successful game of keep-away, and some inopportune turnovers by the pass-happy Nittany Lions, doom the home team in the first game of the Ohio State-Penn State series played in Happy Valley.

Donnie Evege didn't know there was such a thing as a New Mexico State. It’s Halloween today, but most importantly, it’s game time. O...

Steve Miller has been a longtime fixture at Ohio State games. Here he is at the 2008 Ohio game. Yes, it’s officially Miller Time at Ohio State and, yes, this is the opportunity to unleash any and all references to the Steve Miller Band you have. ...

NMSU mascot's Buckstache could be better. I’m always intrigued by intersectional, non-conference games. Intersectional games for Ohio State are, by definition, non-conference, but I’m still intrigued by them nonetheless. Ohio State has never played a team from New Mexico. Gr...

I definitely agree with you on the crowd at Ohio Stadium. I flew to C-bus for the Wisconsin game; WISCONSIN, who was undefeated at the time, and the crowd was so quiet, I could hear Jim Tressel calling for a field goal on the adjacent sideline. I mean, it's not like it was a Big Ten game against an undefeated opponent, not to mention one that seems... Read More to play as tough EVERY year..I was, quite frankly, embarrassed at the lack of enthusiasm. Hopefully they'll be a little more involved when Iowa comes to town..

This is the second time in 3 years where Ohio State plays a schedule without a bye week. Other schools, USC that I can think of, like to cram as many as two bye weeks into the schedule. Others will always have one. Ohio State has none...

If you want a little bang in your yin yang, then I would not recommend coming along. I don’t even know what the hell that means. On point, I’m going to be in Columbus, Ohio for the Penn State game. Yes, I know the game is being played in Happy Valley, but that’s kind of the point. I’m ...

Donnie Evege was not impressed with last week's effort. It’s Homecoming at Ohio State. Later today, the Buckeyes will kick off against the Gophers, hoping to get this season back on track and hoping to field an offense that is less offensive than it currently is. ...

Yeah, it's the second straight year I've used a Caddyshack reference for a Minnesota preview post. So what? I can do that. Amidst all the chatter, the nation-wide ridicule and the state-wide concern, the Buckeyes hope to rebound from an unfortunate loss to the 1-5 Boilermakers...

While the Buckeyes are in a position where it is necessary to move forward and deal with Minnesota this week, the ugly loss to Purdue still lingers. It may not be hard to shake that loss in the bigger picture. Losses happen. We move forward...
