
Miami University School of Fine Arts Congratulations Alex Rehn! She won the prestigious William Jefferson Clinton scholarship. Next semester she will be one of ten to study abroad at the American University in Dubai.

Miami University School of Fine Arts On Oct 29 Tom Dutton and John Blake were awarded the inaugural “Partner in Building the Beloved Community” award, given by Over-the-Rhine Community Housing to the Center for Community Engagement in Over-the-Rhine. The award recognizes their extensive involvement in (and impact on) the OTR community. Congratulations Tom, John, and Dept of Architecture!

Robert Frankel, a Miami alumni, has 30 years of professional work as an educator, curator, and administrator. He has organized exhibits for the
work of Nam June Paik, Carrie Mae Weems, ......Robert Henri, Louise Nevelson,
Beatrice Wood and Pablo Picasso, as well as the presentation of works
from the Hungarian National Gallery in Budapest and the Vatican
Library. He
has also developed multiple fundraising and membership campaigns, built
collections, and evolved programming and outreach in each community in
which he has lived and has overseen the construction or renovation of
three museum buildings.

Down in Mississippi explores the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, as three college students - an African-American man, a white woman and a white man - travel to the dangerous world of Mississippi in 1964. Their journey begins at Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio and takes them from rural Mississippi to the n......ational spotlight. Along the way, they discover that they have to change themselves in order to change the world. Written by Carlyle Brown, this world premiere performance will be directed by Ann Elizabeth Armstrong with musical direction by Tammy L. Kernodle.
