Oxbow Books
A new book was launched on Tuesday 8th September that explores the archaeology of the famous Chatsworth estate. The book takes us back thousands of years, tracing clues to human activities across 12,000 acres of parkland, woods, moors, farmland and historic buildings.
Speaking at the launch, the Duke of Devonshire noted... that the book will add immensely to visitors’ understanding and experience of the site: “It’s jolly nice walking round here, but it’s jolly nicer when you know what you’re looking at.”
