Season Bergmann

Season Bergmann I have 3 family members with Parkinson's, and I would like to help by learning all I can to further understand the daily struggle my loved ones endure every day. Any knowledge out there, new and old, please post, I love my family, and appreciate any information on this disease. Me, like many family members trying to understand, am thankful for all help so I can assist and love my family.

Which study is it ? The one in Dallas? I looked into the one in Dallas. It didn't work out for me because I lived in Colorado at the time and they wouldn't let me travel back and forth. But I am still looking for a study to join.

I understand your frustration. My husband went to the best doctor in NY. Unfortunately, the medicine tht he was using in a trial for a drug co. was effective in curing parkinsons, but it was withdrawn from the market because the profits the drug co. would receive weren't enough. It makes me mad to think that the patients afflicted with this disease... Read More are having cures withheld due to money. My prayers are with you. Unfortunately, the foundations are not aggressive enough with the money to help. Good Luck.

Sharon Kellogg

Sharon Kellogg My late father had Parkinsons and it was very difficult to diagnose because he didn't have the shaking symptoms. His was loss of coordination and falling down. The doctors put him on some sort of meds and it seemed to help. This all happened over twenty years ago so I don't remember much more; but the important thing is to not give up and pray that they find a cure.

My wife has Parkinson's and it is progressing much faster than I had anticipated. I am seeking more information on the benefits of exercise on Parkinson's. We are in Wisconsin and will be attending the Victory Summit in Milwaukee, sponsored by the Davis Phinney Foundation on October 10. I would appreciate hearing from ...people that have had success with slowing down the effects of Parkinson's with exercise. Thanks CalRead More

Exercise has been a great benefit to me. It has jimproved my balance, strength, endurance' and I sleep better. It seems I have less fatigue.n It is easier to carry out normal everyday tasks. I exercise in the pool.
Stress is my public enemy #1. It definitely causes a great increase of symptoms. Trusting in Jesus Christ has helped me more than anything!
