New Life Christian Fellowship Day 47 We are amore than half way through!! I was interested to read John Walton an OT professor said two things to remember about Proverbs. Firstly "a proverb can be true without having to be always true" and secondly "remember a proverb is not a promise" What do you think?

Christine Vian The reading can be difficult at times, the wars, the killings. The man with the vineyard for instance. But I did see how God is a just God, but his ways are so different from what I would expect sometimes.

Christine Vian I was disappointed when I read that Solomon went South.

New Life Christian Fellowship Day 25 The story in 1 Kings 13 reminds me how important it is to always test carefully the things we are told as being “from God.”How tragic is it that the wisest man of all time (1 Kings 4:29) "drifted" from the God who gave him his wisdom (1 Kings 11:4) Another reminder to beware "the drift"!

New Life Christian Fellowship Day 23 Davids approach to sorrow in the loss of two of his children provides us with an stark contrast in 2 Sam 12:22 he accepts his child's death, recognizing that he will see him in the presence of His heavenly father. But his weeping in inconsolable in 2 Sam 19:4. Why do you think this is? ( For more see discussion)
