Spinning Planet Professional Web Design Hi Mr Joyce.

I am writing to let you know that I think that it is essential that New Zealand take Commissioner Anita Mazzoleni's view that mobile termination rates should be regulated. Without it, New Zealand isn't competitive in the quickly evolving mobile communications market which is essential to our future growth ...and uptake of the technology.

It reminds me of when I first left New Zealand to start my business in the United States back in 1998. Back then we had the third highest rate of internet users in the world but because our internet costs were so high and our infrastructure stifled by Telecom's lack of investment in infrastructure and the Governments aversion to unbundling we lost the opportunity to be an internet leader in the world. Our mobile market is in a similar situation. We have plenty of talented businesses that could take advantage of mobile communications opportunities but the costs and monopoly of the large telcos restricts New Zealand mobile communications development - we presently use telecos in South Africa to send SMS messages for our New Zeland clients because it is cheaper.

Please refer to http://www.droptherate.org.nz/ which shows that many New Zealanders also agree that MTRs should be regulated.

Thank you for your time.

Brynn

NZ receives less than 0.1% of the attacks. 54% of Kiwi internet users have broadband speeds 2Mbps and above & 7.8% have slower. 93% of South Korea is above 2Mbps & NZ isn't in the top 10 Countries for Internet usage. In 1998 we were n...umber 2. Australia is building a network that will supply 100Mbps to 90% of homes. Telecom is building a 10Mbps network to places with more than 500 people.

Spinning Planet Professional Web Design I just crashed a program on a new server I'm building. Here's some of what it said: - Uh oh Scooby - Zoiks! - Holy perlcode Batman! - Oh no, you broke it! - Here I am, brain the size of the universe, and yet ... - I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that. - D'oh! - You can’t handle the truth! - Making it worse? How... can it be worse? - Could be worse. How? Could be raining

I would have the "daisy..daisy..tell me your answer do" quote. Nothing is cooler than that movie, nothing. Not even a boxed set of Star Wars in the shape of Bobba Fetts helmet. Which is very cool! but not as cool as that movie.
