Marites Orias

Marites Orias I may not always agree with you Larry, but your writing is always true. I appreciate the "Kick in the ass" that I always get from your writing. It motivates me to think differently and has made me more successful in my decisions and planning. THANK YOU!

Thanks so much Marites! I would honestly hate it if everyone always agreed. The point of what I do is to get people to THINK. Thanks for your kind words.

works with them. Great colors and a cool design - these were made by

Jennifer Bligh

Jennifer Bligh Love your work Larry, so refreshing. Too many people have a sense of entitlement these days and not the attitude of "what can I offer here". Just wish I could figure out who has pinched my copy of It's Called Work For A Reason! All the best and happy birthday to RoseMary!

Richard Biechler

Richard Biechler Larry, I really look up to you and your books. I love your work and your attitude, thanks to my mother who turned me on to you. I would like a little input...often times while reading books, not yours but the one I have recently been reading, Crucial Conversations, I find my mind wandering a lot. Any ideas to get my m...ind to stop wandering? Have you read Crucial Conversations?

I have not read Crucial Conversations Richard. Do you mean your mind wanders when you read? It happens. When it does to me, I find another book where my mind doesn't wander and go back to the other book at a different time. I usually have 3 or 4 going at the same time for just that reason. Different books for different moods, time of day, location, etc.

David Hill

David Hill Good evening Larry, I'd like to ask your opinion on a book or even technique you have read or used on "Listening". I would like to think of myself as a good listener, yet sometimes I find myself listening to people but only hearing "blah blah blah". I hate it, it's embarrassing to say the least. I have been making the ...changes I know to make, but would like to hear what you have to say. Thank you for you time, Dave

Listening is one important skill that I am working to improve. The most helpful suggestion was to work on eye contact.

Dave Beaulieu

Dave Beaulieu Hi Larry
I have mentioned this to you before, but I do the hiring at the company I work for and without exageration I only get about 1 or 2 applications a month from the American work force. So no we don't need another job stimulus plan because hell people don't want to work.
Why don't we have a stimulation get off your... ass and go to work plan. People on unemployment benefits are not looking for work either. I wasn't brought up that way, I was taught to work for what I want.

I am in complete agreement with Dave. It doesn't matter where I'm at, I hear people say there is no work. I was even walking down Mill Ave on Saturday and saw at least 2 businesses that were hiring.

When I lost my job in Oct, I worked my but off to get a job and guess what? That work paid off. It was only a few days before I wa employed again.

I have only looked for a job twice in my life. Once just out of Tech School and once when we moved to Southern Cal. Out of work for only a couple of weeks at the most. I have always had another job to go to before leaving the one I had. I've never made a lot of money but paid for one house and now my second home is close to paid out. Give me a... See More shout Larry, it been 40 years since we talked hasn't it? Since High School for sure. Saw you on Hannity not to long ago. Glad to see you doing so great.

I know there are 15M people out of work – but do they all have to be? There are hundreds of thousands of jobs available TODAY that can’t be filled. Why not? It seems to me that people are just too lazy to do the work. ...

Hargun S Oberoi

Hargun S Oberoi Well, I have this awarding theory problem,
I have heard it many times, ' Reward yourself continuously',
but this has been happening for so long now, that every time, after a good jig, when i 'apply' the award yourself idea, i end up unconsciously 'over'awarding myself, getting back to square one( eg too much of some ente...rtainment), which is discouraging. Do you agree with the awarding theory, if yes then what do i do wrong, cuz it happens so naturally even though i dont want to get back to square 1! Is it of any use?

Think you answered your own question. Any good idea can quickly become a bad one if done to the extreme. If it doesn't work, which in your case, it doesn't, I would go a different route.
