Ray Tillinghast

Ray Tillinghast I'm looking to do some volunteer work to dust off my resume. How does one generally go about this? I haven't worked in the field for a while, and have never volunteered.

on another note this was a great note. I have dealt with that before, but since IPA has a strong relationship with vendors in Illinois vendors have become wise to hunt down the decision making paralegal. they think we are stationed in ranks.

I think that as long as your BS is from an ABA Approved Program, you should be good. However, other opinions are always welcome! :)

Akosoa TjuhuTiy

Akosoa TjuhuTiy Licensing would be a plus for the paralegals profession. As it stands, there are few checks and balances for us, thereby fewer guarantees to constituents. As much as I disagree with standardized tests metering, for now, it's all we have. It shouldn't worry those with merit and I, for one would be glad to say I passed a licensing bar exam. Why not? What do you think?

I once had a "paralegal" employed by an insurance defense firm ask me to explain to her the difference between a plaintiff and a defendant. As long as certification/licensing is voluntary there will be fake-paralegals keeping the salaries low.
