I can't imagine these dishes taste anything like what the chefs actually created. As to their surprise over their recipes used for this purpose, I'm sure they realize by now they signed their life away for that show!

For Thanksgiving, I used my newfound macaron-making skills to froth up a batch of coffee-buttercream-filled delights. As my dad noted, the toasty brown cookies looked awfully like hamburger buns, something Mike of Sky Full of Bacon had noted about my earlier batch as well. ...

the corn fritter is our staple here in CA (I'm Indonesian)... in a pinch, canned corn works (drained of course) and if you don't like trassi (shrimp paste), you can skip it. :)

lol, she seems to presume that one cup of flour and one cup of sugar have exactly the same weight. I don't use cups very often but this seems wrong to me. Anyway, i'm ok with connie : she doesn't know the difference between la boulange and la pâtisserie, and she doesn't read a recipe before doing it, huh... Using these methods, I could tackle A. einstein or E. Kant if I wanted :)

The Eggo's thing is actually a real problem. They had a recall and now they're re-tooling their plant. If the pumpkin people were really doing a marketing strategy, don't you think they would've timed it so that the cans were out two days before Thanksgiving? My husband says he's done with pumpkin pie now that it's past the "official pumpkin pie" holiday.

I can hardly believe it's been six years that we've been at this, and our fourth year now in partnership with the UN World Food Programme. ...
