Patricia Hickman Writing handhold: What can your character "crack open" that you haven't thought of before? Anyone can think of an egg, a safe, a book, or an unsolved mystery. Your choice will either make your story unique or the same as other stories.

I LOVE these tips that you give!!! That's a great question. What would my main character crack open? It reminds me of when you had said, your character has a secret, what is it? this is what became the soul of my story!! :) I'm going to start send out queries to agents this week. The query is all polished and pretty. Say a pray for me!!

Patricia Hickman Writing tip: Today is Kill Your Procrastination Goblin Friday. Set your calendar alarm for 30 minutes. Write straight through without stopping. When your alarm sounds, sprint write for another fifteen. Reward your writer's soul with a chocolate.

Patricia Hickman This time of year is the best season for writing. The tree out my window is the color of saffron. Candles encircle my desk. The distant sound of geese is all the music I need.

Patricia Hickman Faith through the conduit of the broken life is the earth's hope. It's our purpose, the moment for which we were purchased as the Light streams out through our brokenness.

Patricia Hickman Latest tweet from Patsy C.:Marty's day started good then his numbers went awry but by tonight he was back in a better place. We see traces of improvement but he has a long road in front of him. He's still on the vent and heavily sedated.

Patricia Hickman This season fills my imagination full of harrowing journeys and perilous plots. My heroine's grave danger is a happy plotting ground of wild expectations.
