For the runners or organiser,chip time can't 100% read,It happen in some case for my friends in marathon race.

So..what is the way to rescue ? Photo ? Manual check ? Video recording ?

I strongly suggest,organiser and chip ppls or company must do video recording,cause even either manual or foto also can miss in dark ,video is best way to settle if there is dispute in winners or some runner's chip got problem like Firdaus !!... See More

The Star only interested to report any negative news about Penang, like how they reported that a few tourists missed their flight because of the closure of the bridge. Come on.

Saint Lai,Ayoooo ...7 hrs is too long lah.If u get a medal for completing it during the 7 hrs time frame then it will not be of much value lor. Train harder & have consistency in your training schedule.Start your training at least 2-3 mths b4 the actual PBIM.U need to do at least 3 times a week for 1 hr run each training session.Start with shorter ... See Moretime but gradually increase till at least 1 hr duration. Don't just run on flat surface - go for some hilly route.
During the run just stay focus & if U need to slow down do it at drinking station but once U had enough water to quenze your thirst (not too much) then start running. U must be positive and have strong mind.Don't let slight pain over come U.

Believe in yourself and Go for it -- the medal will be yours for sure.

7 hrs is not too long, even the more prestigious Tokyo Marathon has a 7hrs duration for its FM. fyi, they just obtained the 'gold label' from the IAAF road race. i believe if the future commitee can set 7 hrs duration for the FM, more ppl will sign up for it.
initially, the PBIM HM was set at 3 hrs but it was somehow revised to 3.5hrs. wonder why ... See Morethey did it?

in 2007, my friend still received the medal even though he already past the qualifying time in HM. he said because not many ppl still finished the race, hence it was first come first serve.
