National Flight Academy The National Flight Academy Ship Naming ceremony was held Nov. 12. The interior of the NFA facility is designed and being built like a Naval aircraft carrier and was officially named the "Ambition". The NFA program will inspire and give our youth the "ambition" to study Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM)!

National Flight Academy will hold a “Ship Naming” ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. The ceremony for the approximately 100,000 square-foot NFA facility, the aircraft carrier Ambition, will take place in the Blue Angels Atrium inside the National Naval Aviation Museum. Construction is currently underway and grand-opening is planned for M...ay 2011. Since the construction of the NFA, designed as a modern aircraft carrier, parallels that of a United States ship, we will honor the ship naming tradition.
