After recently setting up a aquarium with neon tetras, they all gradually died. after starting fresh and seeting everything up from scratch, and leaving the water to stand in the tank for more than a week, we placed new neon tetras in it. Within less than two days, they are starting to die again: so far this time o...nly 1 or 2.
There seems to be a Small whit spot on one ofthe Fins of one that died today; but it is hard to determine whether it is a General Fungal Infection (such as Velvet Disease), or White Spot. We use PIMAFIX as a General treatment for Diseases and whenever we add new fish or plants, and when we do partial water changes.
PIMAFIX is noted as A Bacterial and Fungal Traetment, but doesn't mention White Spot. We have used products in the past such as Bromothymol Blue, and Multi-Cure, but have founf the staining by such products annoying. We have also used MELAFIX, but found PIMAFIX more successful.
