Ralph Sorrento Van Helsing lives!

Since I was a kid, I have loved Peter Cushing. In the spring of 1984, I was visiting a friend who lived in Whitstable, Kent, England. I happened to look out the sitting room window when I noticed an elderly gentleman walking his bicycle very slowly. The profile was unmistakeable. It was him!! I had to restrain myself f...rom running outside to say hello and tell him how much I admire him and have enjoyed all his films. I didn't because I wanted to respect his privacy, but that made my day and I will never forget it for the rest of my life.Read More

Hugo Williams The Cushing IS Hammer

Macaulay Gallacher The Greatest Van Helsing There Is, Was Or Ever Will Be!

David Boschi Its was never a bad film if it at least had Cushing in it. Always creepy and distinguished at the same time...

To me: he was the greatest actor of all time. Because no matter how bad the films were. And lets face it-he was in some drivel.
He gave those films a dignity that most of them didn't deserve. Because he believed in his characters and the performances that he gave in those films.
And because he believed in in own perfor...mance(no matter how excrable the film) it meant you believed in him as well. and as I say made those films a lot better than they deserve to be. I wish that he could have been my Grandad, Cinema is a poorer place without him. He belongs to a caste of unappreciated British actors: Harry Andrews;Ian Bannen, Leonard Rossiter and others.Read More

Michele Benanti Someone wrote a book about Mr. Peter Cushing? I know that he was (as Vincent Price) in life, a great admirer of art. That a rafined man which would be interesting to read the biography

Monika Jatautaitė He was an amazing actor, I'll never forget him! Loved his role in Curse of Frankenstein especially. Truly great actor and man.
