Hi Peter!

First off, I would just like to comment on the wonderful job you're doing. I actually stumbled across your Facebook page and have to say I enjoy reading your insights. To give you a background about myself, I have recently been actively investing in penny stocks but I have to admit I barely scratched the su...rface when it comes to the knowledge you possess. One stock that is perplexing me is NLST, it has a 2,387% YTD return, but their financials don't catch my eye. Can you provide any insight on this stock? Thanks in advance!Read More

Peter Leeds, The Penny Stock Professional We are still trying to get in touch with investor relations at Majesco Entertainment, with no success. Calls have not been returned. Our latest message was left this morning at 9:30. Any company that is not readily accessible is violating stock exchange compliance directives.

Majesco did initially perform well for us, rising from our profile price of $1.39 to over $2.35 in about 2 months. That was back when they passed Leeds Analysis, but they no longer do, given the recent failures of management.

They still have the potential to turn things around. Recent insider activity (although not open-market buying) bodes well, as do management statements and the return of reasonable revenues and potentially rewarding profitability.

Haha, thanks for the update now Peter. I just bought back in on them yesterday, 3000 shares worth. Oh well, I'm still up from my buy-in yesterday and they did well for me earlier this past summer.

If you recall I asked you a few weeks ago about COOl, when it was at $1.15 and at the time you said it was still good and expected a good holiday season for them. Can you elaborate on why they no longer meet the Leeds Analysis?
I hope you don't take this as badgering you, I'm responsible for my own actions. You're still the man! Thanks for the update.

Thanks again for your tuteledge

Peter Leeds, The Penny Stock Professional Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner got a combative reception today from the Joint Economic Committee. As point man on the economy, there are calls from him to step down. However, Geithner did a great job explaining how the efforts of his administration have improved things against nearly all economic measurement metrics.

Deidra Volta Hi Peter, COOL had a boost in Insider Aquistions earlier this month. What could this potentially mean? http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=COOL

Deidra, when aquisitions are non open market transactions (as these were), the shares are generally given as management incentives, employee stock options, or in lieu of salary.

When we look at insider purchases, we believe they hold a lot more weight when they are bought on the open market.

Charles Carter Hi Peter, you mentioned earlier that you had a call into COOL's management, What type of questions would you ask them about the company to determine why he stock has plunged so far down. And if you had received a call back from management, what did they have to say.

Thanks Chuck

Charles, if they would return my calls (which apparently they won't), I would ask them a lot of things. I'll try one last time, but the fact that they won't return a call to a financial newsletter is pretty bad. I am not at all a fan of this company at this point. I just tried them again today (11:30 or so) and the message says their office is closed??

Investors should be a little worried about this company at this point.

Here are some of the many questions that need answering:... Read More

- provide a comment on the recent share price activity

- guidance for revenues and sales volumes

- concerns about potential delisting from the Nasdaq capital market?

- when do you anticipate a return to profitability

- historically, assets covered liabilities about 2 to 1. In the most recent financials, they cover 4 to 3. Is this trend expected to reverse, or will COOL be in a negative Assets to Liabilities situation?

I hope this helps. I am not sure what answers you can get out of them if any. They do not seem keen to talk to me.

Hi Peter, I called COOL's office and they have a firm that handles their Investor relations. {only telling you this in case you did not know]. His name is Michael Margiasse, or Denise Rhodes, phone number 212-986-6667. They told me they would get back to me today. I will do my best to ask the questions you provided, but I think you may still want to call.

Thanks Chuck

Carlos, the shares might bounce around based on speculative surges, but this company is in bad shape. It wouldn't get past the first 60 seconds of a Leeds Analysis review.

No revenues, massive current liabilities, no assets, burn rate going through the roof (shredded just under $10 million last quarter)... the list goes on.

With PWRM, you aren't getting a company, you're just investing in an idea.

The combination of DSTI's nose-diving share price, and their delisting from the Nasdaq Capital Markets, do not make the shares very compelling for us. The financials, business model, and business plan do little to change our stance.

Ryan Kunz Peter, I was just wondering how MDF and possibly DYII would pass or fail your analysis??

Ryan, MDF has a lot going for them. Solid financials, double-digit growth across most metrics, excellent management team. With a brief initial review, they look very strong, but any company that passes Leeds Analysis goes through 3 stages of research, and that is a much more lengthy process. I will also want to wait and see how the massive changes to health care will impact MDF, but overall they look like a very intriguing penny stock play.

We're not as bullish on DYII, however they are also in a pretty good situation. Returning to profitability, after some pretty catastrophic losses. You're doing a great job uncovering some healthy companies. DYII would fail Leeds Analysis, but barely, so we'll keep an eye on their operations going forward to potentially catch them right before their shares start showing upside, if that time indeed does arrive.

Thanks Ryan!

Peter Leeds, The Penny Stock Professional Who is the leading automaker in China?

It's General Motors. And the rapid growth they're experiencing there right now is a big part of why they are confident enough to start paying back government bailout money (to the tune of $1.2 billion per quarter for the next 8 quarters).

Just another sign that we're coming out of the economic downturn. Next, you'll start to see unemployment ... Read Moredecrease and normalize over the next 6 - 10 months. Employment figures are a lagging indicator, and will be one of the last aspects of the economy to recover.

Jerry Brock Hello Peter,
I was recently introduced to a company symbol ACTC by friends. They have a great article about them in the November issue of Discover magazine and there CSO was on Barbara Walters in an interview the other night...The upcoming 2010 year sounds pretty promising for them...any chance they would pass the Leeds Analysis?

ACTC does not pass Leeds Analysis for several reasons, including but not limited to; no meaningful revenue, ongoing significant losses, survival by dillution strategy, dramatic burn rate.

As a speculative play they might create some opportunities for investors, but a company like ACTC would never pass our review.

How about Orko Silver Corp. (TXSV: OK). They seem to be heading up, what do you think?

Orko is benefitting from a combination of promising drilling results, and increases in prices of precious metals. They'll continue to trade based on these two price drivers.

Their books are pretty strong, with $6 million in assets against their $32 thousand in liabilities.

We'll keep an eye on this one.

Jake Binz Hi Peter, I was on the NASDAQ site looking at ABAT's competitors. They're all big companies with a PPS of at least $28. How does ABAT look as a takeover target? Also, I'm eagerly awaiting any gold stocks you may recommend and your "Economic Apocalypse" piece.

Peter Leeds, The Penny Stock Professional
ABAT is operationally profitable with clean books. I would be more surprised if they didn't get acquired, than if they did. I'd look for this to happen within the next two years, as the semi-fragmented industry consolidates. Look for a premium to be paid on the shares if they are taken over, perhaps for a good 30%+ pop in the stock.

ESIC - For CEO Tom Stallings to say "we're pleased with our 2009 results," after they lost $19 million, really scares me. Their financial results will need a major turn around before they'd pass Leeds Analysis.
