Peter Tambroni is currently a public school teacher working with students in grades 3 – 8. He has worked with students of all ages and abilities and is a former faculty member of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. Peter is an active double bassist performing throughout the Chicago area. He has performed with professional orchestras in New York and Illinois and in 2000 appeared on national television with the Bozo Super Sunday Show. From 2005 - 2007 he was a guest clinician and speaker for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s annual BassFest.
Peter received his Master of Music in Double Bass Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign and his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the Crane School of Music.
As a writer, he has been published several times in the journal American String Teacher and on EnergyAddict.com, the website of best-selling author, Jon Gordon. His textbook, An Introduction to Double Bass Playing, is available at www.lulu.com/tambroni is currently in use at the Crane School of Music.
He also created and maintains the websites MostlyBass.com and EvolvingEducator.com.
Peter is the vice president of the Mannheim Teacher's Association for the 2009 -2010 school year.
