Prior to the 30 Hour Famine our youth group will be raising funds to support the lives of children all over the world. World Vision's organization uses the funds that are raised to clothe, feed, educate, give medicine, and create a sustainable life for children and the communities that they live in. Last year our you...th group raised $1200 which supports THREE children and their village for a full year. We would love to double that goal this year with your help. One of the fundraisers we do involves brightly colored toilets - so if you see one in someone's yard, it's being done for a worthy cause! The actual 30 Hour Famine is the FINALE to our efforts. This event is similar to a "lock-in" where we hang-out, play games, watch movies; in addition to doing a local service project and having a guest speaker. We will end the evening with a live concert (Band TBD) and then we will EAT immediately following the concert!!! Again, this event is for those committed youth who are willing to sacrifice a moment of their life to understand how blessed they truly are and to actually work in a way that gives back some of these blessings.
