Trenton J. Gierhan

Trenton J. Gierhan Phil, How do you see the Nebraska vs. Kansas game playing out on Saturday and will the Huskers be finally able to put something together offensively on a poorish KU defense?

Phil Steele

Phil Steele Last week in the Top 25 forecasts, my 4 additional upset picks were Illinois over Minnesota, Kansas St over Kansas, Colorado over Texas A&M and ULM over North Texas and all 4 won outright. This weeks Top 25 is up with 4 more upset picks at the bottom.

Don Seebold Brother Phil ~ Help a lost soul out. I'm not one to troll message boards and I've been a fan of the Nittany Lions for 35+ years...What the @*&! happened? They could have played 10 quarters Sat and not scored again... OSU is a better team and their D line dominated, but to come out so listless and uninspired...Great picks last week!

I picked Penn St to win the Big 10 this year and after Iowa lost with a looming loss to Ohio st on deck it sure looked good prior to the game. Penn St had been playing solid on the Oline but not here. Royster injuring himself in pregame warmups did not help but that day, Ohio St was the better team. i am not so sure that is the case if the game is played 10 times but give the Buckeyes their due.

Brandon Anderson

Brandon Anderson Phil, who do you think has the brighter future for next year and beyond in college (fantasy) football.... West Virginia's Tavon Austin or Cincinnati's Vidal Hazelton?

Ken Osborne

Ken Osborne Phil...what do you make of conference strength right now. The PAC10 appears strong, yet they don't have any top teams...SEC looks good, but not as strong as last year...same with the BIG12....

Phil Steele

Phil Steele It is the start of awards season. This week I have 3 awards conference calls and the conference call for the FWAA (Football Writers) All American team. We vote on the defense this Sunday and the Offense next Sunday. The first call is for the Mackey Award as we chop it to the top 8 this Thursday. Your nominees please for the top TE and then the Defensive All Americans.

Jake Riesterer

Jake Riesterer Back above 50% again this week so that's good news. The bad news is, as I'm sure you know, a few of the big ones didn't quite go your way (UTEP, USC, Wisconsin) and that SMU game (your game with the biggest differential) was just perplexing to say the least. Anyways, here it is. A few close losses towards the top really changes it.

Doug Hoffman Phil great pick with the Canes, we have 3 weeks left in with a couple of people in a survivor. We are stuck between Va Tech, Wisconsin, USC, and Clemson..Your thoughts..

Phil, no more comp tapes now? Say it ain't so....I understand it must be time consuming....but please don't let it be the guy who does the Sunday tapes this year. That dude isn't very good & you'll probably see a drop in sales. Just FYI....Also, I saw the opening line for Clemson at -6 at NC State....Clemson showed wh...at they could do against a weak defense last week vs. Florida State....and don't they still have a good shot at winning the ACC? I think Clemson should win that by at least two scores. Thoughts?Read More

I have Clemson winning by 34-24 so we are in agreement on that and the number should only rise so grab it now.

Yeah, at least keep doing button #9....it's too important to leave it in the hands of an amateur.

Richard Bianchini Hey Phil,

You finally caught a break on a late phone play with that remarkable front door cover on that seattle game, might be just what the dr. ordered to turn your luck around.

Gregg Micale

Gregg Micale Hi Phil,

This game tonight is a must win for Nevada. I love Colin Kaepernick and the skills he possesses. Do I smell a blow out 2nite ??? I like Dick Tomey but I feel SJST doesn't have the horses to keep up with the Wolfpack. Any thoughts ???

to a lesser extent, the waved off pass interference that should have been called defensive holding. but most importantly the clear interception by peterson that was negated even after a booth review. that would have given lsu the ball near midfield with about 4 minutes to go trailing by 6. that blown call changed the whole game.

If the Buffs do not become bowl eligible than I would think that would happen but I will not forecast that until they lose their 7th. I am not sure about replacement right now but will have a better idea if they are not in the postseason.

Trini Rios

Trini Rios Phil North Texas has given up average of 45 points the last 4 games. They even gave up 49 last week to the lowly W.Kentucky Hilltoppers. Their games have gone over the total 5 games ina row is there any reason to believe this game will no go over also (63).

I also think it should go over the total, both teams are in the top 50 Off in the country and on DEF : North Texas allows 433.1 yds per game and ULM allows 361.6 yds per game. The interesting thing though, is the DEF YPP : North Texas 11.11 and ULM 11.82. Respectively #118 and #111 in the country. Also the weather won't be a factor in that one. Sunny 77°.
There should be a lot of points
