Screening of the Documentary Entitled, "Don't Fall Down In the Hood" which tells the story of Philadelphia youth, caught in the crossfire of gun and drug violence, who are given a chance to turn their lives around.
DON'T FALL DOWN IN THE HOOD is more than a story about juvenile violence in Philadelphia. It is a comme...ntary on our nation’s rising tide of juvenile gun violence and homicide, and the need for our society to act urgently to support effective ways to deal with this issue.
But most importantly, the film demonstrates that this situation is not hopeless. With intervention and support from caring individuals, community, and government, most of these young men can overcome their challenges and learn to stand on their own.
