Lived in AZ last year only once did I get out of school for a "snow day" no I did not live in flagstaff I lived right out of Phoenix. It was not for snow but the electricity went out at my school from a bad storm

I just went to Arizona and fell in love ♥ its an amazing place and will consider moving from NY! what a change.. we stayed in Scottsdale / pheonix area its AMAZING! I suggest you move there.. try it out you never know you may fall in love too! look on craigslist for jobs and apartments.. the weather is undoubtably AMAZING.. love it and cant wait to go back! GOOD LUCK!

Jenifer, I would say it depends on where you might find a job or what activities you like most, or where you might consider driving to most. The phoenix MSA is very large. But with the highways you can get from edge to edge in about an hour, outside of rush hour traffic. You might want to select a long term stay motel near the downtown or in ... See MoreTempe. You can find a bunch at DexOnline by typing Extended Stay Hotel in Tempe. Rates are cheaper when you rent by the month, and can sometimes be cheaper than paying rent and utilities, etc. You can get phone and computer connection and a pool all for the price of the rent. That way you can check out venues and jobs from a central location. Then once you find a job, or your preferred activities, you can select your preferred residence local. We moved 12 years ago and are so happy we did.
