Phoenix Rescue Mission A couple of water drive shout outs: Scottsdale Bible donated 711 cases & Phoenix Reformed Christian donated 433 cases - that's 1,144 cases of bottled water! Outstanding!


Phoenix Rescue Mission Great day hanging out with Mountain Valley Church of Scottsdale. Their youth group donated & packed food, then spent time learning about poverty with our Church Coordinator, Gail at our Family Outreach Center. They're coming back tomorrow to do some real work at the Mission Campus ;)

We are one of many Respite & Refuge Stations [http://www.mag.maricopa.go v/detail.cms?item=10196] in Phoenix. We have a lot of the same issues you're describing. People don't think about what it would be like to have no shoes & walk all day on scorching pavement or even just having no where to come in ... Read Moreout of the sun. Also our summer is so long - April through end of September can reach past 100 degrees. Sounds like you get the 'best' of both seasons there in Boise! Do you have cooling stations there?
