You've got until Monday night to pre-order any of our DVDs for the October 24th OVGE or CCAG shows: Phosphor Dot Fossils (both individual volumes and the 2-disc Brown Box), CGE 2K7, Best of CGE '03 and the brand new Best of CGE '05 are all available. Pre-ordering means your DVDs will be reserved for you at each show -... your discs won't be sold to someone else. Pre-orders close Monday night so we have a reasonable window of time to fulfill the pre-ordered discs (and, in the case of CCAG, ship them to Cleveland in time for the show). See you there! http://www.thelogbook.com/media/ovge-cca g-pre-order/

We’re doing something a little bit different in the run-up to this fall’s big retrogaming events. To ensure that we don’t over-produce or under-produce any given DVD title this year, we’re taking pre-orders for OVGE and CCAG. ...

A little bit of a relaunch for the main page of the web site; as opposed to being a somewhat out-of-date list of links to individual reviews, the new main page serves up a fairly distinct "mission statement" for PDF, encompassing both the site and the DVDs and (gasp!) planned book by the same name.
Also: we've disabled ...the Ajax dropdown menu on the sidebar until we can find something that taxes the server a little bit less; that menu was doing a lot of business on the database server and occasionally making the site (meaning theLogBook, not just PDF!) inaccessible if the next person hit it at just the wrong time. It's a neat idea, and we're on the lookout for something that does the same thing without being quite as much of a resource hound.

Talk about upscale. The Odyssey 200, released not long after the Odyssey 100, added an extra game to the mix, bringing the machine’s built-in game total up to three. In addition to Tennis and Hockey/Soccer, the Odyssey 200 adds Smash, essentially a vastly simplified game of racquetball. ...

Taking Atari’s lead for the first time, the Odyssey 300 – in its bright yellow shell – saw the console abandoning the trio of horizontal/vertical/English controls that had been in place since the original Odyssey. In a...
