bummer! what kind of images did they "like"

Yes, what were they looking for???

I'm afraid I didn't submit enough shots with an "agriculture" feel to them. The winning photos were up close shots of wheat, farm equipment in sunsets, wildflowers, people "working" the land type stuff. My entries were more scenic-oriented but not really focusing on a single element, or an element that wasn't really agriculture-related. I also had a couple shots with wildlife in them. Next year I'll know.

I will try to send a picture of your photo and art lamp thru the holidays. I am going from three refrigerators and two ovens/stoves to a tiny frige and a stove with only one large burner for holiday cooking. I 'm a wee bit traumatized. But hell, it's another learning curve.

Wow, you are downsizing. Lenny and I had only a microwave for years and used his 17-year-old stove with burners that sometimes worked/sometimes didn't (mostly didn't--you had to jiggle the "one" burner out of four that worked just right) as a kitchen ornament. His mom finally threatened me and said either I picked out a stove or she was picking one out and having it delivered. It was a belated wedding present. She's a petite woman, but when Lenny says that she's serious and you better listen to her, I believe him! :)

I love the look of your new website, but haven't had a chance to read some of your new work. I'm so looking forward to it though. I really think you'd do well at humor writing as well--although I don't think that's really your focus as this point. I know this is totally out of your area, but check out smallerindiana.com. You'll see lots of writers on there and its a great networking site for many, many subjects.

Wonderful but not unexpected! Your photograph that I own is the only piece of art that has an art lamp!! And it is always one of the first pieces I put up no matter where I go... will send photo of its new home sometime soon.

What is the Art Bank? Is it a gallery?

Yes, it's a gallery on Mass Ave, formerly a "bank." Still has the vault, drive-thru window and teller slots, complete with decorative bar-like structures over the teller windows to keep want-a-be robbers from going over the counter. All the offices are now gallery rooms and the "teller station" is the counter area. Really cool. They had a wine-tasting there Sat. night. It's located at 811 Mass Ave. You'll have to check it out if you're in the area!
