Deb Jackman I used to go to Pigeon Forge twice a year for over 20 years with my parents. We loved it there! Then my dad had a stroke in June, 2008 and passed away in September of this year, so haven't been back to PF since. I'm sure a lot has changed, but like all great places, I'm sure a lot has remained the same.

When we were there all the roads were open, but highway 66 coming into pf had miles of construction...once we got onto the parkway, traffic moved much quicker...for us though, our cabin was at the Echota resort which is on highway 66, so whenever we went anywhere...we had to go through the construction...all the roads in the park were open as well...have a great visit Macon

thank you.......im not sure of the road that travels through the national forrest so im not sure if it is 66 i believe its 441 that we bring in we take some back roads through georgia to get there so im not sure. ive just memorized the route by memory from all the vacations ive had there growing up.

Can't wait until it's over and done...fixed. The toughes part is trying to get on 66, after cutting the three lanes down to two, it is a fifteen minute backup at times. I instead take Old Knoxville Highway and get on 66 at Wilderness at the Smokies (the bridge that use to go nowhere). It will be a much needed relief to folks traveling in and out who have no idea of "backroads and shortcuts".

Nichole Bradley My grandparents, aunt, and aunt and uncle just got back from Pigeon Forge, I want to get to PF for Thanksgiving, we go every year,but not sure if we are going to make it this year. LOVE THE SHOPPING AFTER THANKSGIVING there, one year we went and it was snowing on that Friday after Thanksgiving, it just made it feel more like Christmas then. :)
