1st Annual Community Wide Holiday Cookie Exchange - 12/12 from 9-11 a.m.
Bake 5 dozen of your favorite holiday cookies and trade them for 5 dozen other great cookies! It's a wonderful way to have a great variety of homemade cookies for the holidays. Additional rules are posted on the website at www.ccacpineville.org
Pl...ease secure your spot and be sure to send your recipe to the CCAC by December 5. You can e-mail the recipes to info@ccacpineville.org, mail P.O. Box 606, Pineville, NC 28134, or drop them off at 316 Main Street, Pineville, NC 28134.
Door Prizes will be given as well as prizes for “the Cookie Santa Can’t Refuse” and the “Best Christmas Outfit”. Come and share your recipes as well as some Christmas cheer with your Community!
Snacks, refreshments and cheer will be served during the festivities.

Are you thinking of Christmas gifts yet??! Make Your Own Jewelry or that special Christmas Gift - Whether you're new to making jewelry or an experienced jeweler, taking a class can be a great way to learn basic & new jewelry making techniques. Pre-registration is required, as class sizes are limited. Workshop will la...st for three hours, so you may be able to make multiple items in Level 1 and Level 2, or you may finish early depending on the complexity of your piece:
Level 1: Beading - Learn how easy and fun it is to make your own jewelry. Using just a few simple materials you can make beautiful pieces for your friends and family. Great as gifts for birthdays or holidays. This class will instruct you on the basics of beading and introduce you to the wide variety of materials available in the marketplace today to create fantastic, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces - everything you need to get started on a hobby that is both fun and fulfilling. But BEWARE: Beading can be addictive! Class time is approx.1 ½ to 2 hours. CLASS LIMITED TO 6 STUDENTS - so sign up today. Pre-registration is required due to the limited number of participants. Class fee of $25 includes instruction, information handout, use of all tools needed in class, and enough stringing material, crimp beads and a toggle clasp to complete one bracelet.
Level 2: Hammered Metal Pendant (Beginner Level) Create a one-of-a-kind pendant from copper and brass sheet metal. You will learn to texture, bend, dome and patina the metal. You will also layer shapes and textures to design a rustic piece that is uniquely yours. A basic wrapped loop technique will be taught to finish your pendant a simple hook and eye clasp. Class time is approximately 3 hours. CLASS LIMITED TO 6 STUDENTS. Pre-registration is required due to the limited number of participants. Class fee of $35 (necklace) or $45 (necklace and earrings) includes instruction, information handout, use of all tools needed in class, sandpaper, Patina solution, Microcrystalline wax (to polish finished piece), practice wire.
Level 3: Viking Knit (intermediate level) Discover the skill to weave this incredibly beautiful chain using one of the oldest forms of knitting which originated in Scandinavia. This very forgiving technique yields a beautiful, strong but supple rope that may be drawn to a variety of thicknesses. Several design variations shown in class, so you may put your own design skills at work to complete your own piece. You will also learn how to make the hammered silver "S" hook shown in the picture as your bracelet closure. Class time is 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. Class limited to: 6 (sign up early, this class fills fast) Pre-registration is required due to the limited number of participants. Class fee of $45 includes instruction, information handout, use of all tools needed in class, one yard 24GA colored craft wire.

The evening’s activities will include a wine tasting, gourmet appetizers, live jazz music with Upfront Jazz, and an art show featuring local artists, several of whom will be on hand to demonstrate oil painting and jewelry making.
A highlight of the evening will be the opportunity for attendees to explore their creative... side with a hands on activity, under the guidance of a professional artist.
Cost for the evening is $15 per person. Select wines will be available from Vintage Wine for purchase at half-price, and door prizes will be awarded by the CCAC. Come, enjoy, and explore your potential!
