Pride month is almost over, but I can't let it go by without some discussion of what's happened to all the LGBT heroes and villains in mainstream comics this year. Here's some updates on the major gay characters that had their lives changed for better or worse this year...

Howdy folks, here's a quick peek at some of the more noteworthy or interesting books out this week! Red Robin #1 Following the aftermath of Battle For The Cowl, a new Batman watches over Gotham City. But not everyone is ready to give up on the old one...

This is seriously one of the best fan trailers I've ever seen. You can definitely pick out a lot of the movies they used, but it still looks insanely cool and makes me want to see it right now! On a more personal note, I'm clearly not dead...

When it rains, it pours! Newsarama has a nice preview of this weeks X-men #509, which continues the ongoing Northstar storyline and introduces Prop X, a proposed mutant birth-control ballot initiative that mirrors California's Prop 8, which banned gay marriage last year...

Well, color me excited! The newest hero getting the stand-alone animated movie treatment from DC is Green Lantern! Sinestro is the main villain and looks to be in his awesome Sinestro Corps outfit, leading me to wonder if we'll ever get a Sinestro War/Blackest Night/War of Lights movie...

Not the X-men, apparently. With Patrick Stewart having supposedly retired from the X-Men film franchise (wink wink), any version of a fourth film (not counting Wolverine and Magneto spin-offs) would have to write around Xavier's absence and keep him dead as seen in the pretty terrible third film...

THis here spiffy little image has been popping up all over the place lately. Marvel's books and website has seen the lone star appear with nary an explination, just the date "July" stamped underneath. I've seen some blogs wonder what it's all about (I told them to ask Alfie)...

The follow-up to the massively successful (and fun) Marvel: Ultimate Alliance video game is coming towards the end of this year and details about the game are slowly trickling out...

Now that Watchmen didn't quite light up the box office lights, the characters have to look elsewhere for employment and dinner. Luckily, the Fanboys webcomic has caught up with them.

It seems as though a wee little scamp over at FOX (or one of the companies working on the Wolverine film) got a little antsy and/or disgruntled this week. An excellent grade and watermark-less copy of the film was somehow leaked from the production house and made it's way to the internet...

I know we have a lot of Buffy/Angel/Whedon fans here, so I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Andy Hallet, who played the demon Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan, or 'Lorne', has died heart disease. He was 33. Apparently he had been fighting heart disease for five years...

Comics come out on the first of April. I fear for some crazy book to be announced to ship on Wednesday and everyone falls for it until they look at a calendar...
