Carnivore Preservation Trust (CPT) has adopted a new name: Carolina Tiger Rescue. Executive Director Pam Fulk explained the name change: “Carnivore Preservation Trust was founded twenty-eight years ago to advance the preservation of endangered and threatened animals. Over the last decade we’ve shifted our focus to resc...ue and conservation education. We felt that it was time that the name represented who we are today.”

The name Carolina Tiger Rescue reflects the organization’s mission to save and protect wild cats in captivity and in the wild. Carolina Tiger Rescue is committed to providing lifelong homes for wild cats that have been abandoned, relinquished, or confiscated. Carolina Tiger Rescue will also continue to help save these species in the wild through education, research, and advocacy.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is a 55 acre sanctuary located just east of Pittsboro, N.C., and is home to over 75 animals, including tigers, ocelots, binturongs and more.
