NOW OPEN! Whales | Tohorā, a traveling exhibition created by Te Papa, New Zealand's National Museum, presents stories from conservationists, scientists, whalers, and even whale riders. The exhibition presents a rich assortment of objects from Te Papa's whale collection, one of the largest in the world. Skeletons over 5...4 feet long (18 meters) are displayed, along with fossils, models, and specimens from many whale species. Beautiful taonga (cultural treasures) made from highly prized whale bone and whale teeth give evidence of the revered status of these animals. Carnegie Museum of Natural History Apple Talk & Tasting at Powdermill Nature Reserve! On Saturday, October 17, join Powdermill naturalist Joe Stavish for a talk on the natural history of the apple. In the construction of Dinosaurs in Their Time (DITT), Carnegie Museum of Natural History went green. Following LEED guidlines, we created an exhibition that was environmentally sound.

Global warming is affecting our planet in countless ways, not in some remote future, but today. DoublExposure documents one aspect of the warming climate through fine-art photography that brings the viewer into panoramas of glaciers once grand but now receding.

A fine art photography exhibit that is designed to educate, alarm and inspire about global warming. The museum exhibit consists of photographs of glaciers taken in the past by Brad Washburn, and duplicated in the present by David Arnold.
