Debby Morrison Hess

Debby Morrison Hess As a child, my family went here often for picnics with friends, as a teenager, we had huge picnics in lower Frick with the Americanettes, loved watching the Eastend Debs play softball, and as a grandma I still love to take the kids there to enjoy everything about it. I pass it every day on my way to work. It is beautiful and a Pittsburgh treasure.

John Ewing

John Ewing When I was young and living in Brushton our Rosedale Street gang would get on our bicycles and ride to Frick Park to play softball, football, tennis, and ride our bikes on the numerous trails. For a number of years Gaelic football teams played in the nine mile field on a weekly basis. I still enjoy taking nature walks frequently through the park.

Jeanne Staley

Jeanne Staley All my friends on Hay St. would pack a lunch and walk to Frick Park early on thoses hot summer days. We would stay all day until we got hungry. The biggest decision when we got there was what to do first. Woods or playground? Sometimes we would get a 5 cent coke from that corner drug store. Our moms never worried--- thoses were the days.

John Ewing I used to go to see the Gaelic Football league games in the nine-mile run field. Our gang from Rosedale Street used to get on our bikes and go to the park quite frequently in the late forties and fifties to play softball, football, or just ride the trails on our bikes.

Dawn Pletcher

Dawn Pletcher Have so many fond memories of taking my kids and dog to Frick Park back in the 1960s and 1970s and of the Frick Park Church! Left Pittsburgh in 1990 and still miss the 'burgh! Greatest city to live in if you have to live in a city, and Frick Park is one of the places that makes you forget you're in the city! :-)
