Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company
Two married couples become barricaded in a basement during a violent uprising of zombies, Pittsburgh's favorite villains (or heroes to some). As supplies run low and hopes dwindle, it is revealed that two of the spouses are infected and getting...hungry. Faced with the true meaning of commitment, husbands and wives mus...t ask of each other: When does love die?
"Delightful....The Revenants opens with a mini-masterpiece of unnerving terror....a tightly paced story. The end isn't pretty. But it is as perverse a happily-ever-after as you could possibly want from a tale of love among ghouls." Windy City Times - Catey Sullivan

Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company Seven Guitars has taken off and is not losing any steam yet. Eight more shows to go.

Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre Company
Seven Guitars focuses on the 1948 funeral of one of the seven main characters, showing events leading to the funeral in flashbacks. True to its mission to present all ten plays in Pulitzer Prize winner Wilson’s “Pittsburgh Cycle,” PPTCO offers its sixth play in the series—a brilliantly constructed examination of the Af...rican-American male's fight for his own humanity in the face of personal and societal ills. Last season's production of August Wilson's Two Trains Running at PPTCO was ranked #3 in Post-Gazette theater critic Christopher Rawson's “Best Theatre Evenings of 2008”.
The play will feature:
Montae Russell (paramedic Dwight Zadro on E.R., Sterling Johnson in Radio Golf at Pgh. Public Theater, Caesar in Gem of the Ocean at Pgh. Public Theater, Lance in The Players Club, Mister in King Hedley II on Broadway)
Jonathan Berry (Fences, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, Two Trains Running at PPTCO)
Terri Bridget (Ma Rainey in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Joe Turner's Come and Gone at PPTCO)
Wali Jamal (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, The Piano Lesson, Two Trains Running at PPTCO)
