Pittsfield Public Library Our last day at the Maine Central Institute Library wil be Friday, December 18. We expect to be open in the freshly renovated and expanded library in early January.
Pittsfield Public Library Please come visit us at the Maine Central Institute Library. The open hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10:00 - 2:00, Tuesday/Thursday 1:00-5:00. Our phone number is 487-4460. If it is more convienent, you may return materials to Bud's Shop n Save the courtesy desk.
Pittsfield Public Library We are now in the Ella Powell Room at the Maine Central Institute Library. Come see us Monday/Wednesday/Friday 10:00 - 2:00, Tuesday/Thursday 1:00-5:00. We have a very small collection to chose from but can still get you anything you want from another library. Materials can be returned to Bud's Shop N Save at the Courtesy Desk.

Pittsfield Public Library We will be setting up a mini library in the Ella Powell Room at the MCI library There will be a very small collection of preschool books, adult fiction, movies and current magazines and newspapers. Inter-library loan services will continue, so you can still get whatever you want.
Pittsfield Public Library This is so exciting! We are getting ready for the big transition. Soon the contractors will begin work in the original library. We will be boxing just about everything. The boxes will be in storage in the new part of the library awaiting the installation of shelving.
Pittsfield Public Library Celebrate Halloween at the Pittsfield Public Library's story time on Monday, October 26 from 10:00 – 11:00. Children and the caregivers are invited to meet at the lower level of the town office in their family friendly costumes for a Halloween party with a story, craft and refreshments. Children will parade in their costumes to businesses on Main Street.
Pittsfield Public Library The Library will be closed Thursday, October 15 due to the library construction project. The electricity will be shut down for the day as wiring is installed in the old building and the addition. The wireless router to be unavailable. There may be other short term library closings throughout the construction project.... We will give as much advance notice as possible about any closings.

Pittsfield Public Library The library will be closed to the public on Monday, September 28 and Tuesday, September 29. New sidewalks are going in! They are going to look very nice and I am sure you will like them very much. If you have any questions about the construction project, please don't hesitate to talk to us.

Pittsfield Public Library STORY TIME! Children and their caregivers are invited to story time on Mondays at 10:15 – 11:00 starting September 21 at the Town Office council chambers. The program is intended for preschoolers from ages two – five. Younger and older siblings are welcome. At each story time, Joanne Elwell will share a selection of ...books, songs, finger plays, and activities. Come join the fun!
Pittsfield Public Library is ever so pleased that Minerva and MaineCat Interlibrary borrowing is once again available to all of our patrons. If you can't find what you want the the Pittsfield Public Library, you request it from another library. If you aren't sure how to do that, ask a staff member the next time you visit.
