On Sunday, 13 April 2008, the 2008 season began for Deutsche Tourenwagen-Masters (DTM), one of the most popular and top-class touring car race series. With the slogan "The pit stop for your photos!", Pixum, one of the leading online photo service providers within Europe, is brand-new main sponsor of the new Pixum AMG Mercedes Team. The vehicle, the racing edition of the Mercedes C-Class, is driven by Mathias Lauda, the son of the triple Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda.

The DTM race car will take off in the Pixum colours cyan and orange and the team clothing and team trucks will represent Pixum's Corporate Design throughout and as well. The DTM starter field 2008 consists of 19 vehicles. The eleven races will take place on six German and five European race courses, in , , the , and . Start of this season is 13 April, the final is on 26 October, both at Hockenheim Race Course.
