The award winning Dawlish Carnival Airshow is one of the most spectacular aviation events in the UK.
Superb vantage points along this beautiful stretch of Devonshire coastline give unique views of regular display aircraft such as the Red Arro...ws.
Rarer displays make Dawlish special too and locally based Hawker Hunter XE610 was a breathtaking sight. Flying low over the sea its display was complete with the sound of its beautiful ‘Blue Note’.
100 years of Naval aviation was marked with displays from Kennet Aviation’s Wasp and a Royal Navy Sea King adorned in a special paint scheme marking the type’s 40th year of Fleet Air Arm service.
The undoubted highlight of the show though was the pairing of AVRO Vulcan XH558 and the Red Arrows – the first time the formation has been seen since the Vulcan’s RAF career ended in 1992.

The Sunderland International Airshow is one of Europe’s biggest and it’s free!
It takes place on the seafront at Seaburn and always attracts a big crowd; not just families looking for a day out and hoping to see regulars like The Red ...Arrows and Falcons Parachute Team but enthusiasts too drawn by rare appearances by Merlin, Apache and fast jets from Europe.
This year the star for everyone was the newly restored Vulcan bomber tearing the sky apart with its spine-tingling ‘howl’.
The weather was perfect for our powerful lens cameras; clear air, puffy clouds and the eastern aspect meant we were not looking into the sun.
Hi-fi stereo sound and interactive on-board cameras crown the viewing experience.
