Planned Parenthood of Nassau County (PPNC) is proud to participate in a nationwide campaign with MTV and the Kaiser Family Foundation and to officially unveil “GYT: Get Yourself Tested,” a campaign to increase testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) among those under 25 years of age.
In Nassau C...ounty, we know that, despite our best efforts, STD rates are disproportionately high in at-risk communities such as Hempstead, Roosevelt, Uniondale and Freeport. And on Long Island, Nassau and Suffolk counties have the highest suburban HIV/AIDS infection in the country and more AIDS cases than 26 states.
Throughout the month of April, PPNC will be offering free or low-cost STD testing at our three health centers in Hempstead, Glen Cove and Massapequa. Appointments can be made by visiting our website, www.ppnc.org or calling 516-750-2500.Read More
