Plano Independent School District The Board of Trustees completed two public hearings this week to garner community input on the feeder alignment process the district is currently undergoing. Last night’s session was geared toward Spanish-speaking families and included round table discussions allowing parents to meet in small groups to voice their conc...erns. The board’s decision is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15, at the regularly scheduled board meeting. To accommodate the most people, the board meeting will be held at the Plano ISD Sockwell Center located at 6301 Chapel Hill Boulevard, Plano 75093. Read more at www.pisd.edu/feeder.

Plano Independent School District Jasper Band Performs at AT&T Plaza: More than 200 Jasper High School band members, color guard and cheerleaders performed a pre-game show before the Dallas Stars game on November 23. The pep rally began with the playing of the Jasper fight song, then a performance of their music program from Queen. Jasper is the younge...st band to perform a pre-game show in the Plaza.

More than 100 girls and boys attended Plano West’s “Breakfast with Belle” on Saturday, November 14. Children of all ages joined Belle and the rest of the cast of Plano West’s Beauty and the Beast for an unforgettable celebration in the cafeteria and theater. In addition to breakfast with the characters, children enjoye...d a scene from the show, a backstage tour, sing-along and story time. Funds raised at the breakfast will be used to offset the costs for the musical production this weekend.
