Shipping speed and reliability in general depends of course on the shipping method and can differ a lot from country to country. Please keep in mind that the economy shipping options are shipped by airmail, through postal services and are also delivered by your local post.

While the vast majority of shipments reaches their destination relatively fast (5-10 days), delays can happen. There is not much that we can do about it.
We all for sure have experience with a delayed parcel or a postcard that reached the destination month after we were back from the holiday.

Now as we approach the Christmas season, it is also the peak season for the global mail traffic. We can really just recommend to scrap some extra dollars for shipping by courier during this time, especially if the products ordered are time sensitive. So if you order your Christmas gifts one week before Christmas, rather use UPS, FedEx or EMS, to make sure you will get it before the holidays.

Dear Jason, if you use the free shipping option to Japan, your order is shipped by airmail. Most parcels shipped via airmail arrive within 5-7 days, but there can be exceptions where it takes longer.

Chill dude. I think they do a pretty good job. I got my games a little over a week/ week and a half. If you want it in English go ahead and order through amazon and pay their ridiculous shipping fee and prepare to wait just as long if not longer. And if getting the Japanese version was a legitimate option, why didn't you just do that in the first place?
