Play The Angel
Hey everyone,
Gap is celebrating their 40 year anniversary and are putting on a live acoustic night in over 700 of their stores across the US and Canada between 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
They invited us to play at their store in Carrefour Laval. Normally, we're practicing or in sudio on a Thursday night but since we've never play...ed in a shopping center or in Laval before, figured this could be kind of cool, and it's nice to see Gap putting together such an event so we're more than happy to be a part of it.
So if you're in Laval, or in the Montreal area, come enjoy some music, say hi and hang out a little. We'll be playing 2 sets of 30 minutes between 7-9 PM, all acoustic, and probably a good 3-4 new originals we haven't played yet that we've been working on in studio.
We look forward to seeing you there and by the way, we'll probably get there a little early and be in the food court grabbing some SubWays or something so feel free to come chill out.
Another few cool updates will be coming soon which we'll keep you guys posted through our Play The Angel Twitter Page and through this blog so if you haven't yet, be sure to subscribe to our blog!

Play The Angel
Hey everyone,
So we're still in studio working as hard and as fast as we can to get this album done but we got a call Wednesday to open for 'Sick Puppies' in Burlington at Higher Ground the next day. Seeing as last year, I drove down to check out Sick Puppies play at that exact club, besides being a big fan myself, I kn...ew it would not dissapoint and people in Burlington know how to rock out so of course we said hells ya!
Packed our things, left early in the morning, got a quick line check and played to a sold out and already packed screaming audience who were definately there for a rock show.
After the set, we had the pleasure of meeting quite a few new faces who came to meet us at the merch table (Kasey, Cassey, Ian, and so many more ...) who dig the Play The Angel sound, and got to chat it up with them throughout the night. Actually, the video we just added the our blog on myspace (www.myspacae.com/playtheangelmusic) was filmed by Kasey who we met at the show. Thanks so much Kasey!
So when Sick Puppies got on, the band and I were in the pit enjoying the show before drinking the rest of the night (except for me cause I lost a coin toss in the morning so I was the driver ... dammit). The ride back home was long considering I had to put up with being the only sober one in the car. It's all fun and games when everyone is at the same level but you know when you get to a party a little later and you're still all there but see people doing backflips off the roof into bushes. It looks like fun but you don't fully appreciate it cause you're not at that stage of the night yet ... Well ya, I was not at that stage of the night so I had a harder time enjoying the car ride as much as the other guys so as a consilation prize, we went to get some poutine (french fries with gravy and cheese) at 4 in the morning when we were back in Montreal to finish off the night. I admit, it put a smile on my face.
It was a great evening. We wish we would have had more advance warning to let you guys know before hand but man, I'm surprised we even got there on time consdering we had less than 24 hours notice.
Great show and looking forward to going back and seeing our new friends up in Vermont again soon. Can't wait.
