Only two sleeps until Playgroup 2010 - our Playgroup NSW Parents' conferenceﾠthis Saturday, 28 August at Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club, and Playgroup NSW is excited about our fantastic line up of speakers and activities.

This weeks activity - Pretend Play Restaurant!
The children will enjoy playing different roles; waiters, chef, customers. Parents can help them set up tables and with fun craft to get them into the theme. Making signs, menus, paper chef hats, using playdough for pretend food.
Taking it one step further, parents can supe...rvise the kids serving up real food and snacks for the day.

This week's activity - Parachute Fun with POPCORN
Children and parents / carers stand around the outside of the parachute holding the edge
Place popcorn (three balls of paper) on top of the parachute
Everyone moves parachute up and down making the 'popcorn' pop
Try going for as long as you can without letting 'popcorn' fa...ll off the parachute onto the ground
