Why is this mostly true? He said, "you can't find a mention of public option." And yet, you found it was mentioned. Seems like his statement is false. If he had said you could barely find any mention, then it would be true.

Terri..........I was just interested in finding out how you arrived at, "usually". Was it a result of supreme recollection or did you find some data that supports your statement ?

I never heard of the term "supreme recollection" before but Terri is right. The person in the lime light always takes the shots.

If you wish to talk about menaces with conspiracy theories, Olbermann is the first name that always pops into my head.

B White- McDonalds is a good analogy. Rendell is saying McDonalds is disallowed from selling half priced cokes to it's employees, and Politifact is saying Barely True because employees can still buy a coke from McDonalds at full price with their own money.

They're two separate issues that Politifact has woven together.

Stephen, I'm an independent, I don't have a Party. Funny how I mentioned the greatest Senator, Mark Hatfield, who is a Republican and yet he's not tarred or feathered. Last time I saw him, other than being very ill, he looks pretty good. Didn't see any down or streaks of tar anywhere.

Those who can do and those who can't teach. The US at its very beginning looked at what Europe had done in the past, mainly Britain, and corrected it to form the Consitution. Politicians always lie? That's a rationale that promotes selective forgiveness, depending on which side of the fence you are.

Also - I remember when the news media WAS controlled - I think they were called TASS. Besides the Media is just the symptom; the disease is the 24 hour a day news cycle. As Walter Cronkite once said, nobody pauses anymore, to double-check a source or think about the substance of the report. We just need to "get it out there"; truth is not an option.
