While the most obvious examples may be the display and sale of paintings by local artists in coffee shops, also taking place are the purchase of program ads, loans of props or set furnishings to stage ... It is still good to remind people to consider moving 10% of the amount they currently spend on cable television, movies, DVD rentals (unless made at Videoport or other local shop, of course) and similar expenditures into local arts and cultural offerings.
