The 100th Monkey Studio
Every 9.5 minutes somebody is infected with HIV in the US. Stop by the studio & create a piece of artwork in nine and half minutes to witness this statistic. Your piece will be added to an installation created by Richard Jenkins & will be on display throughout December at the 100th Monkey Studio. It costs nothing to... participate, just 9.5 minutes. The 100th Monkey Studio Call For Artists for the Annual Juried Winter Twilight SaleSale Date: December 5th from 5-9pm This sale will be juried to avoid duplicate media process and ensure more sales for you the artists!Tables will cost $35, (bring your own table fee $25)Fee is only due once an artist is juried into the sale. Art Materials SWAP at The 100th Monkey Studio in partnership with LNPB
Please bring any art or craft materials that you aren't using anymore. We're open to pretty much everything - paints, fabrics, yarn, beads, buttons, pens and pencils, clay, paper . . . .
The only stuff we are not looking for are those random cast-off ...things you've been hanging onto in case that perfect project comes along.
You know . . . those paper-towel tubes, dryer lint...
There is no admission fee for this event.
We do ask that you bring something to swap.
The 100th Monkey Studio will have a collection jar to take donations for the Art Scholarship fund and LNPB in case you'd like to donate a bit.
LNPB will also have an open studio art making table for you to get creative and learn more about their amazing organization!
Left over materials will be donated to the
Quest Center: http://www.projectquest.org

Yet there are many reasons someone can go on a pilgrimage.They could be searching for inspiration, creativity or peace. They may be trying to find answers to large and small questions. ...Or they may need a break from everyday life. There also many different ways to go on a pilgrimage. It could be a long journey to a sacred place or a walk around the block. It could be a life change like going back to school at age 50, moving across the country, a divorce, or a marriage. The 100th Monkey Studio We are starting a new Wednesday evening Life Drawing Workshop 2 x per month and are looking for clothed models that would be interested in modeling 1 time or multiple times for this class at our studio. This is a trade position position for studio time or class/workshop time. A trade aggreement would be made with the model and studio after an informal interview process was completed.

This September marks the 3rd anniversary of The 100th Monkey Studio.To celebrate this achievement, we are assembling our 50/50 Show inspired by the 100th monkey phenomenon and art as social change.
Local artists of all ages have responded to a call to create a small piece of art that is 8 inches square. These pieces wil...l be sold for $50 throughout the month of September. For this special event the artists have chosen to give 50% of the proceeds of the piece to the Artist Scholarship Fund, the other 50% will go to the artist. These pieces will be sold directly off the wall, on a first come first serve basis.
