Saturday was a beautiful Indian summer day – just what Kindal’s mother had ordered up for the special day. The colors of the church and flowers fit perfectly with the season. We started photographing at their historic church, Grace Community Church, in Covington. The architecture was so inspiring. One photo that Kindal... really wanted was a portrait by the huge stained glass window at the back of the church. Once I saw the window I knew we had to do what we could to get that photo. Because the stairs were narrow and dusty, Kindal had to finish putting the dress on up in the balcony. So we trooped up the skinny windy stairs with her dress and veil – I love when brides are as into the photos as me and they are ready to do whatever it takes to make it happen! The amazing photos were so worth it! After a few fun photos with the guys the ceremony began. My favorite part of the ceremony was watching the couple simply smile at each other. You could tell how happy they were to be in that moment. After the ceremony and a few family photos, we headed to The Briarwood for their fun reception. The reception was full of fun and dancing thanks to one of our favorite djs, Tom Winkler from T&F Music. Overall it was a beautiful day. Monday was a beautiful fall morning and the perfect time for Holly and Dave’s engagement session! It was so great to finally meet them in person. We had talked through emails, phone and we even met her parent’s. Holly and Dave are from Chicago and they are planning a wonderful wedding in Cincinnati for 2010. They both ...were so much fun to get to know more and I had a blast photographing them. They were great sports about the chilly weather and snuggled closer. Dave said he usually doesn’t like his picture taken but he was great at picking up the poses quickly (plus I don’t think he minded the kissing part). Saturday was a beautiful crisp fall day–perfect for a fall themed wedding. We started photographing the girls at their beautiful church, Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church. Fassler Florist did a great job with the floral designs. They even hand sculpted rose petals into little buds for the corsages for a really unique ...touch. During the ceremony the officant was doing a great job with the ceremony. When it came time to do the vows, he turned to Lindsay (after PJ recited his vows) and asked Lindsey to repeat … “I Patrick” and so there were a few giggles until he corrected himself. It was a great moment because it broke some of the nervousness and made it real and fun. I love moments like that! After the ceremony we took some great photos of the couple at their church and then went to Woodland Mound Park. The park was just beautiful with so much fall foliage! I just love how the couple could relax and enjoy some fun together at the park. The reception was at the beautiful Norlyn Manor in Batavia. The reception was a hoot! Jason and Bill from Hey Mr. Dj had some great ways to get the party going. For an extra special treat the couple tons of little desserts made by Servatiis to go along with their cake. I want to say a big thank you to the great videographers from Jeff Hill’s team. We really enjoyed working with them. Lindsey and Reuben’s wedding day was a bit cold and rainy – but they weren’t going that let them stop their wedding day from being absolutely beautiful! The couple and their friends and family were so great about braving the weather for photos. Even the bridesmaids were up for it. Between photos we had jackets on the ...girls. The autumn colors made for a beautiful backdrop. The park where we took photos has a lot of special memories for the couple. Greenville City park is where they had their first date and the gazebo (where their ceremony took place) was where they became engaged. One of my favorite moments of the day was watching the couple smile at each other during the ceremony. The rain stopped just in time and you could see how happy they were to be marrying each other. After the ceremony we headed to the gorgeous Troy-Hayner Cultural Center for their reception. The ballroom was beautifully decorated with custom centerpieces made by the bride and groom. The dances at the reception were full of emotion and love. It was a wonderful day with so many great moments!
